The books introduced into students' lives hold significant sway over their perceptions of the world, community, and themselves. At Anti-Ableist Teaching Project, this responsibility is recognized, aiming to offer educators book recommendations that advocate justice and dignity for disabled individuals. These recommendations undergo thorough review by academic researchers and school teachers, employing a Disability Studies in Education (DSE) framework. The hope is that these children’s books (English|Spanish), Young Adult books in (English|Spanish) prove beneficial to educators and students alike, inspiring the creation and sharing of their own stories!

Los libros introducidos en las vidas de estudiantes tienen una influencia significativa en su percepción del mundo, de la comunidad, y de elles mismes. En el Proyecto de Enseñanza Anti-Capacitista, esta responsabilidad es reconocida, con el objetivo de ofrecer a educadores unas recomendaciones de libros que promuevan la justicia y dignidad para personas discapacitadas. Estas recomendaciones son sometidas a una revisión exhaustiva por parte de investigadores académicos y maestres, empleando un marco de Estudios sobre Discapacidad en la Educación (DSE).
